What is Preview Text (Preheader)?

Preview text (also called preheader) is the snippet of text displayed next to or below the subject line in email clients. It's typically 40-100 characters visible before opening. Use it to reinforce the subject line, add a secondary hook, or create a combined curiosity loop. If not set, email clients pull the first text from the email body — often undesirable.
