MisarMail lets you connect any email account via IMAP/SMTP and manage your inbox directly within the platform. Connected accounts sync automatically every few minutes.

Supported Providers

Gmail / Google Workspace — OAuth or App Password
Outlook / Office 365 — OAuth or IMAP/SMTP
Yahoo Mail — App Password required
Fastmail, Zoho, ProtonMail Bridge — IMAP/SMTP
Custom/Self-hosted (Mailcow, Postfix) — IMAP/SMTP with custom host

Connecting via OAuth (Gmail / Outlook)

Go to Settings → Email Accounts.
Click Add Account.
Select your provider (Google or Microsoft).
Complete the OAuth authorization flow in the popup window.
MisarMail will receive read/send permission and start syncing your inbox.

Connecting via IMAP/SMTP

Go to Settings → Email Accounts → Add Account → Manual Setup.
Enter your email address, IMAP host, IMAP port (993 for TLS), SMTP host, SMTP port (587 for STARTTLS or 465 for SSL).
Enter your email password (or app-specific password if 2FA is enabled).
Click Test Connection to verify, then Save.

Gmail App Password Setup

If your Gmail account has 2-Step Verification enabled, you must use an App Password instead of your regular password:

Go to your Google Account → Security → App Passwords.
Select "Mail" and "Other device", name it "MisarMail".
Copy the generated 16-character password and use it as your IMAP/SMTP password in MisarMail.
