What is DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)?

Quick Answer

An email authentication protocol that lets receiving servers verify that an email was sent by the domain it claims to be from.

DKIM adds a digital signature to every email header using public-key cryptography. The sending server signs with a private key; the receiving server verifies using a public key published in DNS (TXT record). DKIM prevents email spoofing and improves deliverability. MisarMail automatically configures DKIM for your sending domains.
